About CFJS

Incorporated in 1974 as a Florida 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, the Central Florida Jazz Society was created to:

  • Preserve JAZZ as America’s original contribution to the arts – from Dixieland and big-band swing to soulful blues, rich ballads and hot contemporary rhythms
  • Present monthly concerts in which our membership can hear and enjoy various forms of the JAZZ art
  • Promote live jazz music and local JAZZ musicians in Central Florida through our bimonthly publication, Blue Notes
  • Provide scholarships for deserving young musicians and assistance for JAZZ education in the community
