Groove to an eclectic beat and the smooth stylings of singer, songwriter and guitarist Raul Midón at his Judson’s Live debut. Revel in Raul’s unique fusion of Latin jazz, pop and soul as he explores themes of love, loss and hope through intricate melodies.

Raul Midón is a Grammy-nominated musician known for his fiery acoustic guitar and expressive vocals. Blind since birth, Raul sees the world through sound and has won legions of fans worldwide with his emotional phrasing and ability to play multiple instruments. A former backup singer for Shakira and Julio Iglesias, Raul broke through as a solo artist and achieved two Grammy nods for his albums, Bad Ass and Blind and If You Really Want. Raul’s crowd-pleasing performances are highlighted by his improvisational “mouth trumpet” technique which creates a bebop sound using just his lips.

Scholarship Winners Concert
In this free concert, the future stars of Central Florida’s jazz community will perform standards from the 1920's, modern jazz, and more.
Featured scholarship winners are Daniel Bonnet on saxophone, Camila Quintero on vocals, Max Terechenok on drums and Hannah Stokes on vocals—plus a few surprise guests.

CFJS Hall of Fame Concert
Are you jonesing for a great jazz experience? Join us for the Central Florida Jazz Society’s 3rd Annual Hall of Fame Concert as we honor two of Central Florida’s jazz legends: Linda Cole and Charlie Bertini! Linda Cole, often called “Central Florida’s First Lady of Song,” has a voice as smooth as silk and a legacy that spans Motown, jazz standards, and countless stage appearances. Charlie Bertini is a world-class trumpeter, producer, and educator who’s performed with legends like Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, and Ray Charles—and helped shape jazz in Florida and beyond. Don’t miss this unforgettable celebration of two extraordinary artists!

Savor the sweet sounds of acclaimed jazz vocalist Nicole Henry. Singing American Songbook standards, classic and contemporary jazz, pop tunes, blues, originals and more, Nicole infuses fresh air into every performance. Velvety rich with a vivacious clarity, her dynamic voice joins her heartfelt charisma to dazzle and deliver in every song.
Nicole has performed in music festivals and venues around the globe, including Blue Note, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blues Alley, Arsht Center, Feinstein’s, Green Mill, Jazz St. Louis, Madrid Jazz Festival and Catalina Jazz. She has also recorded with some of today’s musical greats including Kirk Whalum, Julian Lage, Gerald Clayton and Gil Goldstein, and has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Pasadena POPS and Michael Feinstein. She has also appeared on the theatrical stage, starring in the musicals “The Bodyguard,” “A Wonderful World,” Smokey Joe’s Café” and “The Color Purple”.

Osceola School of Performing Arts Big Band
A premiere public arts school in the greater Orlando area and a US News & World Reports top ranked high school, Osceola County School for the Arts (OSCA) has a long-standing tradition of excellence with many alumni having gone on to attend various prestigious university programs, such as The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music and more. Osceola County School for the Arts’ Jazz A Ensemble, specifically, is a two-time winner and five-time finalist at the Essentially Ellington Competition & Festival, cementing the fact that the group of amazing young Osceola County jazz artists are the best high school jazz band in the country. They have also performed at many jazz festivals throughout the United States. This is truly a must-not-miss jazz concert. Central Florida Jazz Society is proud to continue with its long standing mission of supporting the young jazz artists in our community by presenting the Osceola County School for the Arts concert.

Terry Myers and Simone Kopmajer
“Terry Myers is undoubtedly one of the best all-around reed players in the
country today. His versatility and expertise on the clarinet and saxophone
are a treat to the ears,” said Buddy Morrow, former leader of the Tommy
Dorsey Orchestra and one of the great musicians and band leaders who was
there for the early stages of the "Big Band Era." Terry's dynamic career has
enabled him to appear with such talented players as Tommy Dorsey Orchestra
(Buddy Morrow), Bob Haggert, Milt Hinton, Butch Miles, Warren Vache, Kenny
Davern, Marty Grosz, Major Holly, Mousey Alexander, Flip Phillips, Walt
Lavinsky, Bill Allred, John Allred, Wild Bill Davison, Chubby Jackson, Duffy
Jackson, Rosemary Clooney, Eddie Higgins, Bobby Rosengarten, Larry Elgart,
Vince Giordano, and a host of others.
Simone Kopmajer has soul and a particular charismatic tone in her voice that
gives each song that special something. Born in 1981, Simone already
achieved at a young age what many musicians, bands and ensembles dream of -
the launch of a successful international career. In the United States, Japan
and Southeast Asia, the singer is a household name for lovers of demanding
and refined jazz music. She fills large concert halls, performs as the
headliner of major international festivals and has sold thousands of CDs
worldwide. Lo and behold, it seems as if only Austria is not quite aware of
this outstanding and award winning singer.

Steve Luciano
Guitarist and educator, Steve Luciano has performed with many jazz musicians including, Charles Erland, George Morrow, Joe Morello, Danny Gottlieb and Adam Nussbaum. He has also performed with Donald O’Conner, Robert Goulet, Regis & Kathy Lee, Michael Feinstein, Billy Preston, Pebo Bryson and Brian McKnight.
Steve has participated in the television program “Jazz Here and Now” for WCEU Public Television in Daytona Beach Florida, with one of his original compositions being aired. He has also been part of the pit orchestra for “The Broadway Series” at the Bob Carr performing arts center in Orlando, the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and the new Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Steve also wrote a jazz guitar method book for Alfred publishing entitled Jazz Sounds for Guitar.

Greg Parnell Band feat. CFJS Scholarship Winners
Multi-generational jazz collaboration takes center stage as the scholarship winners from the Central Florida Jazz Society perform with the Greg Parnell Group. In this evening of shining talent, the future stars of Central Florida’s jazz community will perform standards from the 1920's, modern jazz, and more.
Featured scholarship winners are Daniel Bonnet on saxophone, Camila Quintero on vocals, Max Terechenok on drums and Hannah Stokes on vocals—plus a few surprise guests.
The Greg Parnell Group has been performing in the Central Florida area for the past 20 years, delivering unique shows with narrative elements and dynamic themes. Joining Greg will be Bob Thornton on piano and Greg Zabel, a previous scholarship winner, on bass.

Named Rising Star Male Vocalist in Downbeat magazine, DeSare has earned critical and popular acclaim for his concert performances throughout North America and abroad. From jazz clubs to Carnegie Hall to Las Vegas, and headlining major symphony orchestras, DeSare brings a fresh take on old-school class around the globe.











ZACH BARTHOLOMEW TRIO PRESENTS "PIANO LEGENDS"
Dr. Zachary Bartholomew is an award-winning pianist, composer, and music educator who maintains an active performance career as one of the most heavily sought-after pianists, accompanists, and sidemen in South Florida. He is a full-time professor at Florida Memorial University and is actively involved in music education and outreach.
Zach’s original music and unique arrangements are inspired by the jazz tradition, but also draw heavily from Afro-Cuban rhythms and modern influences.

The Central Florida Jazz Society presents the Orlando Jazz Orchestra (OJO) in celebration of the Holiday Season. The Orlando Jazz Orchestra is a fabulous 18-piece orchestra made up of the best jazz musicians in Central Florida. Sing along to all of your favorites as OJO swings in the holiday season with Jingle Bells, Sleigh Ride, and many more. Featuring performances by the award-winning acapella group RESOLVE and special guest vocalist Chantelle Johnson.
